ENROLMENT PROCESS

 

Parade College prides itself on inclusiveness therefore we welcome students of all learning abilities, nationalities and faiths. If you would like a College prospectus or have a general enquiry simply complete our Enrolment Enquiry Form.

Due to demand Parade College is now accepting expression of interests from as early as Year 3. All applications for enrolment will be waitlisted as places are offered mid-October of Year 5. Applications MUST accompany a non-refundable administration fee of $100.00. Parents may lodge a Parade Enrolment Application Form accompanying all applicable documentation, and payment authority to the College Registrar.

Year 7 2021 enrolments officially closed on Friday 23 August 2019, however families are most welcome to submit a late application and be waitlisted. Noting family situations change, there will be those who decide not to proceed and as such boys on the current waiting list will of course take priority. As this waitlist is reviewed monthly it is only upon openings being identified that applicants are assessed for suitability and progression to offer status then made. Parents may lodge a Parade Enrolment Application Form accompanying all applicable documentation, and payment authority of a non-refundable administration fee of $100.00.

To avoid any disappointment families are asked to review the key dates below and submit a Parade Enrolment Application Form accompanying all applicable documentation, and payment authority of a non-refundable administration fee of $100.00 payment, before the closing date.

In order for Parade College to make fair and informed decisions relating to enrolments, it is important that families follow all steps in the enrolment process as set out below and meet the relevant deadlines. To assist us in the selection process we request that families undertake the following:

Attend a compulsory enrolment interview with the future student when they are in Year 5. An invitation to attend this meeting will be communicated to all families who have submitted an application for enrolment together with all documentation and a $100 application fee.

In making decisions and assessing suitable candidates for enrolment, the College will take into account the following set criteria:

  • Whether the student is a Catholic (any Rite) [requires presentation of Baptism Certificate]
  • Whether the student attends a Catholic Primary school within one of the Priority Parishes [as outlined by Catholic Education Melbourne] *
  • Whether the student has a family connection with the College by having:
    • A sibling who is a current or former student;
    • A father or grandfather who attended the College;
    • A mother whose brothers attended the College;
    • A parent who is a staff member.

KEY ENROLMENT DATES FOR INTAKE YEAR 7 2022

  • Friday 21 August 2020 - Closing date for applications to Catholic schools
  • Friday 4 September 2020 - Catholic schools exchange lists of applicants
  • Friday 18 September 2020 - Catholic schools exchange lists of offers
  • Friday 15 October 2020 - Offers of places to prospective students are posted
  • Friday 6 November 2020 - Final date for acceptance of offers made

Places are offered mid-October of Year 5 and upon acceptance, your prompt payment of a $500.00 non-refundable Family Enrolment Contribution will confirm your son’s position. A compulsory Building Fund Levy of $320 per family is also payable each year, in addition to Tuition fees.

Years 8-12 2022 onwards, may be made at any time to be WAITLISTED. Applications MUST accompany a non-refundable administration fee of $100.00. Parents may lodge a Parade Enrolment Application Form accompanying all applicable documentation, and payment authority to the College Registrar.

The College would like to enrol all families who seek a place at with Parade College however this is often not possible and all final decisions relation to enrolment, rests only with the Principal.
