As a long-standing Catholic school in the Edmund Rice tradition, Parade College is a vibrant learning community offering best practice education and pastoral care to its students to foster fullness of life and holistic growth for all. Parade College scholarships have been established to acknowledge and foster the development of our students with special talents and to encourage their contributions within the school and wider community. As well as being highly competitive, our Academic Scholarship is also an opportunity to recognise those students in our community who possess an outstanding academic record, whilst also contributing actively to many facets of College life.
The number of scholarships awarded each year is dependent upon the quality of the applicant applications, the criteria and the availability of places. All scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the Principal and are subject to annual review. Further information about 2027 Scholarship eligibility for both new and current students and application information is available below.
This scholarship is offered to new students who enrol in our VCE Vocational Major program (VCE VM) at our co-educational Preston Campus, and who demonstrate the potential to be outstanding contributors in their chosen field of interest, within one of the following VCE VM Programs at Preston:
- Sport Academy
- Applied Learning Pathway
Applications will be assessed for new students enrolling at Preston Campus in Year 11 2027. Successful applicants must display a strong desire and willingness to make a valuable contribution to the College community.
An interview with relevant Parade College staff for short-listed candidates is an integral part of the process of awarding a scholarship. Applicants are also assessed on their responses to application questions and relevant supporting documentation, which is assessed alongside their Enrolment Application (required).
VCE VM Scholarships may be awarded up to the value of 100% remission of tuition fees (excluding any levies or additional costs) for the duration of the student's enrolment and will be reviewed annually on the basis of consistent academic performance, positive behaviour, contribution to school life, and attendance at various College events/activities that help promote the College.
Applications for the VCE VM Scholarship will open on Monday 20 March.
The Lou Arthur Memorial Academic Scholarship is offered to current students who demonstrate a strong commitment to their academic performance and display a desire and willingness to make a valuable contribution to the College community.
Applications will be accepted from currently enrolled Year 8 2026 Parade College students who will be in Year 9 2027.
Students will be required to complete the Academic Assessment Services (AAS) Scholarship Test. Further information about the AAS Testing will be provided to candidates and their families upon receipt of application. An interview with an appropriate school staff member for short-listed candidates is an integral part of the process of awarding scholarships. Applicants are also assessed on their responses to application questions and supporting documentation.
The Academic Scholarship will carry between 25% - 100% remission of tuition fees for Year 9 and Year 10, and will be reviewed annually on the basis of consistent academic performance and contribution to school life.
Applications for the Lou Arthur Memorial Academic Scholarship will open on Monday 20 April.
