Applications for courses commencing in Semester 1 2022 opened on Monday 2 August 2021.
Students wishing to apply for courses at a Victorian institution will need to do so online via the VTAC website www.vtac.edu.au
Students are advised to view the VTAC Applications video that is available on SIMON for a detailed outline of the process.
Please note – students will need their VCAA number to set up a VTAC account and will also require a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number. The USI can be generated online at https://www.usi.gov.au/
To enrol in a tertiary course, students will also be required to have a Tax File Number. This can be accessed at https:// www.ato.gov.au/individuals/tax-file-number/
Year 12 students who wish to apply for SEAS (Special Consideration) can do this as part of their VTAC Application. Students must create a VTAC account and apply for courses before they are able to progress to the SEAS process.
SEAS does not adjust students’ study scores or ATAR, but rather allows selection officers to grant special consideration for course entry. This is considered on a course-by-course basis by the individual course selection authorities.
Special consideration may result in upward adjustments to students’ selection rank for one or more courses. A SEAS application does not exempt students from meeting any of the institutional and course entry requirements.
Students must still complete the requirements listed under ‘essential requirements and admission criteria’ for each course they apply to, including prerequisites.
However, consideration of a SEAS application may be given if a student’s performance is slightly below the stated minimum ATAR. The SEAS application process is covered in the VTAC video that is available to students on SIMON.
Specific information regarding SEAS is also available at https://www.vtac.edu.au/access/seas.html
