Some end of term fun! After a challenging Term 2, my Year 9 Maths Intervention class spent some time making pizzas. This was a great social and educational activity where they boys worked in pairs to plan, measure out ingredients, follow a recipe and make the pizza. At the end they used their pizzas as a model to complete a fractions and trigonometry task.
This was a fun way for them to consolidate the work that they had covered this term.
Using cooking as a resource to deliver the curriculum has not only enabled the students to see mathematical application in their everyday life, but also allowed them to show case a range of different skills.
Keep an eye out for our next cooking adventure!
