The Nash Learning Centre (NLC) is Parade’s hub for reading, learning, and social activities. The innovative learning environments of the NLC support and complement teaching and learning by embedding students in flexible, technology-rich spaces. The agile design of the NLC means that spaces are configured specifically for learning and wellbeing. The NLC provides students with an extensive selection of fiction reading, complemented by digital eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, and comics. Students can access digital encyclopedia, databases, newspapers, and much more, available at all times.
Activities and clubs run daily, driven by students’ feedback and interests. Some of the clubs currently running include Table-Top Role Playing Games (such as Dungeons & Dragons and Warhammer), Taskmaster (based on the popular TV show), Games Club (games run by our Counsellors to support students in forming friendships), STEM Video Game Challenge, and eSports. All students are enrolled in the Parade Reading Challenge, where students log their reading minutes, and can win prizes, medals, and trophies. Reading Matters at Parade!
